Hi my loves! I splurged and tried my very first Bobbi Brown foundation. I did a lot of research first, read a ton of reviews and they were all positive. I was looking for something for my dry skin, I’m so over the matte foundations, my skin hates them!
Normally I go after full coverage, even though my skin is clear and I have nothing to cover. It’s just a preference. I don’t mind medium coverage at all, which is why I decided to buy this one.
The Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation is a water-based, oil-free foundation that delivers undetectable coverage and a fresh, hydrated glow for the most natural skin-like finish.
The lightweight, water-based formula sinks into skin, instantly helping to plump, moisturize, and boost your skin’s glow. Sustained hydration keeps skin looking and feeling fresh, and ensures that color stays true all day. The oil-free formula is enhanced with light-reflective optic ingredients to give skin natural-looking radiance. In addition to weightless, long-wearing coverage and hydration, the formula minimizes the appearance of pores, conceals imperfections, and delivers broad spectrum UV protection.I would say it’s light to medium coverage, it lives up to it’s name – it still shows your skin in the most beautiful way. At first I wasn’t sure about the coverage, but once concealer and powder are on, everything is perfect. It’s VERY dewy, so if you have oily skin, I wouldn’t suggest this. Even after I set it with powder, it shows through, which is one of my favorite things about it!
I looks so fresh, healthy and dewy all at once. It lasted all day on me, when I went to take off my makeup, my mom said it looked like I just put it on – and it did! I have to be honest, I was SO scared to spend this much money on a foundation, because I’m so picky. What if I didn’t like it? Luckily I did and it’s my new go-to.
The shade range is amazing, I got the lightest one “Alabaster 00” and it matched me perfectly (which never happens), so I was speechless. When you put the foundation on and blend it out, it has a neutral undertone (and not as yellow). When I swatched it on my arm, it looked a bit off. But it’s one of those products that looks amazing when you’re done putting it on and have blended it out. If you’re like me and have dry skin, I would highly recommend this.
