MY FAVORITE CREAM CONTOUR STICKS – REVIEW & SWATCHES

Hi my loves! I’ve been wanting to do this blog post for the longest time. If you know me, you know that I LOVE cream contouring, I think it looks absolutely gorgeous and I love the whole process. I have tried a lot of different cream contour products, good and bad. If I had to tell you about all of my favorites, this post would be way too long. So I stuck to cream contour sticks and if you guys are interested, I’ll gladly do another one with my favorite kits.

All of these are drugstore, except one. It was too good to not mention.  I actually think they do it the best when it comes to these products. Affordable AND amazing quality = YESSS! All of these will be easy to use, if you’re a beginner or just find it hard to cream contour, I would highly suggest these. They basically do the job for you.Milani Contour & Highlight Cream & Liquid Duo – fair-light: Consists of a cream contour stick and liquid highlight. I like both, the liquid highlight is pretty, but I prefer other ones. I mainly use this for the contour and it is so good! It comes in a nice range of shades, I have the fair-light which is for porcelain to light skin tones. The product is so nice, easy to blend and buildable. Not a lot of people talk about these, which is really sad. It’s such a good product! Definitely underrated. I also love the packaging!Jordana Sculpt N Go Creamy Contour Stick – light: Adding shape and definition, Sculpt N Go Creamy Contour Stick is both buildable and blendable. With a neutral matte formula, easily and conveniently apply along the cheekbones and jawline to create a naturally chiselled complexion and structure. It looks natural and amazing on the skin. It’s easy to blend and the lightest shade is perfect for my fair skin! I also have dry skin, so I was quite nervous when I read the word “matte”, but it works just fine. Such a nice and creamy product that’s buildable!NYX Professional Makeup Wonder Stick – light: A dual-ended tool to highlight and contour in one. The dynamic duo features two creamy shade combinations, with one to add depth and definition and the other to lift and brighten. Effortlessly blended, the soft formula glides onto skin with intense colour pigmentation and lasts all day for a seamlessly sculpted visage. Available in a range of complementary shade pairings for a natural result to suit your skin tone.

This was my first one and I can’t recommend it enough! It works beautifully, the contour shade is perfect for min skin tone but the highlight is not my favorite, shade wise. The formula is on point though. Easy to blend, creamy and not too intense. I know beginners love this because it does the job for them and it’s so straightforward. You can’t mess it up.

I feel like I’m just repeating myself, but that’s hard not to, when it’s all contour sticks haha!Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Stick Trio: I’ll only be talking about the contour shade. This is one of the best to ever exist. I think it’s the most flattering shade, a lot of different skin tones can use it and the quality is just beyond amazing. It melts into the skin and it doesn’t matter what shade you are or your undertone, it somehow changes to fit yours, it’s weird but it works. I remember seeing the shade and thinking: “oh no, this will never work”, but trust me, it does! It’s without a doubt worth the money and I use it constantly. It lasts a long time, even though it’s quite thin. That was all of them! Then I have all of the shitty ones .. Lord I have too much makeup. Anyway – I would truly recommend every single one of these.

Swatches – left to right: Jordana Sculpt N Go Creamy Contour Stick, NYX Professional Makeup Wonder Stick, Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Stick & Milani Contour & Highlight Cream & Liquid Duo.

The Smashbox one looks quite dark, but once it’s on the face it looks amazing and kind of just fits with your skin tone. Remember, this is cream contour: it’s not as scary looking as powder contour and when it’s blended, it looks like it’s supposed to. What’s your favorite? And have you guys tried any of the ones I talked about? Let me know 🙂
